David Dendy Buried at Woodland
Funeral services for David Wayne Dendy, 49, an engineer's aide with the State Highway Department, were conducted from the Woodland Baptist Church at 10 am, Thursday, Aug. 19, with the Rev. Jack Inmon officiating.
Interment was in the Woodland Cemetery with Houston Funeral Home in charge.
He died Tuesday night at 7:45 at Buena Vista of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Mr. Dendy was born April 23, 1927, the son of John Thomas Dendy and Elizabeth Ware Dendy. He was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church.
His wife was the late Mrs. Welcome Dendy. She died in 1970.
He leaves a daughter, Teresa Dendy of Woodland; three sons, Barry and John Edgar Dendy of Woodland and Keith Dendy with U S Navy in San Diego, Calif., and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Dendy.
