Married Elida Vela on June 16, 1955. Golden Glove Boxer and a great athlete. He served in the US Navy. Member of the LDS Church.
Survived by wife, son, Alonzo A. Vom Baur, III; daughters, Carrie (Bradshaw) Pruitt, Belen Vom Baur, Brenda (Dave) Hokanson; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brothers, Gerald J. and William N. Vom Baur.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Hillcrest 9th Ward Chapel, 915 East 9045 South, where friends may call prior to the services from 11:00- 11:45 a.m.
Interment: Crescent Cemetery.
