In the 1950's Robert was pastor of the Presbyterian church in Huron, Ohio.
In 1960 and 1961, Robert was pastor of John Knox Church, United Presbyterian, in Youngstown, Ohio.
In 1963 and 1964, Robert was pastor of the Presbyterian church in Alliance, Ohio.
In 1970 and 73 Robert (Dr. Harriman) was the director of chaplains for the Presbyterian Church of the United States.

Former Rockford Pastor Retires From U.S. Army
ROCKFORD -- Word has been received in Rockford that the Rev. Robert Harriman, former Rockford Presbyterian pastor, has retired after 28 years as a chaplain in the U.S. Army, both active and reserve duty.
Rev. Harriman served as pastor of the combined Celina and Rockford Presbyterian Churches from 1940-43, then he served three years in the Army, returning in 1946 to serve the Rockford Church.
In 1948 he moved to Akron and then to Washington, D. C. where he served as executive secretary of the United Presbyterian Church's Department of Chaplains and Service Personnel.
More recently he served as chief of the Chaplain Section of the 310th Field Arnn- Support Command from which he has just retired."

Scotstown (Quebec)
Friends of Bob Harriman, son of Rev. Walter and Mrs. Harriman will regret to hear of his death recently after a valiant fight against cancer in Lakeland, Florida.
He is survived by three children from his first wife Cassie Nicholson of Scotstown, two sons Malcolm and Robert Junior and daughter Carol Sue. He is also survived by his second wife Caroline.
Heartfelt sympathy is extended to all members of his family.
