Jun 6, 1919: Basin Republican, Bason, Big Horn Co., Wyoming (pg 5):
A very sad accident happened at the Harry Rosenberry home near Manderson last Friday evening. While out playing their little daughter, Bertha Evelyn, fell into an irrigating ditch and was drowned. Deceased was born April 17, 1917, and is survived by her parents, two sisters and three brothers, and besides these a host of friends that the sweet baby's smiles had won, mourn her early demise and extend to the bereaved family their heartfelt sympathy. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Geo. B. Black. Appropriate music was rendered by Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Peters, Mrs. A.B. Wrigley and H.C. Avery, Mrs. Avery accompanist. A very large cortege escorted the remains to the Basin cemetery where interment was made. "God loaned us our darling to be loved and then lost a whie."

MANDERSON, Wyo., June 9.—Toddling from her home, Bertha, two and one half-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rosenberry, accidentally lost her balance and fell into an irrigating ditch. The child was drowned before help arrived.
