Wythe Henry Agnew was born in Floyd, Virginia, the son of Mary and Henry Agnew. He had been a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, for 50 years. Mr. Agnew retired in 1952 as a painter for the Darby Corporation. After retiring he operated a confectionery at 411 North Eleventh. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Catholic Cathedral.


Mr. Agnew passed away at the age of 73 years at St. Margaret's Hospital. He was the husband of Mary; father of Louise Strick, Ruby Smith, Charles Agnew, Kenneth Agnew and Ralph Agnew; brother of Nan Beal, Nora Hungate and Effie Woolsey; grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of five.
