Waneta Pike LaRue was born Dec. 19, 1919, in the town of Canton, a daughter of Wesley and Ruth Walrath Pike. She was a graduate of Rensselaer Falls High School.
She married Ivan LaRue Nov. 4, 1939, in North Carolina.
The couple operated a dairy farm in Kendrew for 40 years. Mrs. LaRue was also employed during that time at the McCadam Cheese Co. and Pagano Drug Store, both of Heuvelton, and the F.W. Woolworth Co. and Newberry's, both of Ogdensburg. For the past 10 years she worked at the St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging, Canton.
Mrs. LaRue was a member and past matron of St. Lawrence Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, DePeyster.
