SALEM--Carolee Grace McCready Bay, 66, died Saturday at her beach house in Lincoln City.
She was born in Toledo, Ore., on July 15, 1935, and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1954. She married Richard J. Bay, and worked at Salem General Hospital and Marion County Tax Department.
Carolee loved camping, boating, sewing and children, especially her grandchildren. Her greatest loves were her beach house and the Ocean. She was at peace after five and-a-half years of dialysis.
Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Bay of Salem; daughter, Sandi Walker of Spokane, Wash.; sons, Richard and Todd Bay, both of Salem, and Steven Bay of Bremerton, Wash.; brother, Bill McCready of Stayton; and seven wonderful grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, with services at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, all at Unger Funeral Chapel, 229 Mill St. in Silverton, Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to North Lincoln Hospice, PO Box 767, Lincoln City, OR 97367.
