According to DAR records Peter Van Bibber was born before 1723 in Cecil Co. MD and died before 7-3-1797 in Kanawha Co., VA

They have discovered that Peter did not participate in the Battle of Point Pleasant as previously thought and that the original claim that he did serve there was attributed to a different Peter VanBebber/VanBibber. Instead, Peter furnished supplies according to Abercrombie and Slatten, VA Rev Public Claims, Vol 2, page 419.

He married Marguery/Margery Bounds and they are the parents of Olive VanBibber/VanBebber who married Nathan Boone. They are also the parents of Elinor/Eleanor VanBibber who married her first cousin Peter VanBebber, Sr.

Peter did have a brother, Isaac, that served in the Battle of Point Pleasant on the Ohio River in 1774. That battle has been included as the first Battle of the Revolutionary War.

Peter VanBebber II had a daughter Eleanor and Isaac Van Bibber had a son named Peter. Peter and Eleanor married June 29, 1785 in Greenbrier County, Virginia.

Eleanor was the daughter of Peter VAN BIBBER, II., and the granddaughter of Peter VAN BIBBER, I., and her brother was Peter VAN BIBBER, III., and her husband was Peter VAN BEBBER, Sr.

I have also located an obituary for Marguery Bounds VanBebber aka Majer Bounds. If you would like a copy please contact me and I would be happy to send it to you.
