Mrs. Arnold

Katherine Elizabeth Perry Arnold, 74, of Hamilton, died at Scott and White Hospital in Temple on Nov. 24, 2001. Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 26 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Memorial services were conducted at First Baptist Church in Hamilton that afternoon with Dr. Tim Moody and Rev. Kevin McDonald officiating.

She was born March 26, 1927 in Hamilton County, the daughter of George Madison and Lillie Carl Dunn Perry.

She was married to Darrell Wayne Arnold on March 4, 1944. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1976.

For a number of years she owned and operated the Lampasas Nursing Home in Lampasas and later was the administrator for the Kingsland Hills Care Center in Kingsland.

Mrs. Arnold was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an active member of the community, working faithfully with the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary, the Cancer Society and her church, The First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Irene Perry Ford and six brothers, Robert, Burl, Everett, Jeff, Vergel, L.C. and Alven Perry.

Survivors include two daughters, Saundra Lengefeld and husband David of Hamilton and Elizabeth Ann Butts and husband Dr. Frank Butts of Daphne, Ala.; five grandchildren, Angela Lengefeld, Jon Lengefeld and wife Robby, Grant Lengefeld and wife Shelly, Jeff Crawford Butts, Sarah Butts; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Lengefeld and a sister, Cleo Osterman of Lake Jackson.
