Isham Childress
Was born in Warren county, North Carolina, in 1766.
He enlisted in 1779 for three months with Capt. Rowland Blanton and Col. Sewel; he again enlisted for three months with the same officers. In 1781 he served with Capt. William Johnston in the North Carolina troops. He removed to Lawrence county, Illinois, and died there. He was pensioned.
