He was born September 22, 1921 in West Point, TN the son of the late John Thomas and Minnie Myrtle Anders Andrews. Mr. Jack was united in marriage to LouElla Stockard on April 28, 1956. He was a retired factory worker from Genesco and Mallory, a member of Zion Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Lou Ella (Stockard) Andrews of Waynesboro, TN; one son: Randall James Andrews of Waynesboro, TN; one daughter: Angela Denise (Andrews) Pevahouse of Waynesboro, TN; three grandchildren: Jeremy Andrews, Crystal Bradley and Jessica Pevahouse; three great grandchildren: Gunner Layne Andrews, Abrianna Laynabelle Andrews and Jorja Maye Bradley; two brothers: Lester Andrews of Lawrenceburg, TN and Porter Andrews of Atlanta, GA; and three sisters: Willodean Gambrell of St. Joseph, TN, Myrtle McMullin of Forsyth, TN and Lillie Mae (Dixon) Butler of Waynesboro, TN also survive.
Funeral services for James (Jack) Andrews will be conducted Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, TN with Chad Clanton and Jerry Robbins officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County is in charge of all arrangements.
