Winifred Russell, 91, passed away quietly at her home on Jan. 4, 2006. She was born in Erie, Kan., on June 15, 1914, to Beulah and Cloise Baldwin.
Winifred has spent the last 60 years in Ellis County, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maypearl, Texas, and served as organist for a number of years.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Hendley and husband Bob of Eustace, Texas, and Jamie Harris and husband Garry of Maypearl; son, Jerry Baldwin West and wife Ann of Ovilla; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan.6, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Maypearl. Interment will follow at the Maypearl Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home, (972-923-1595.
