Jay Morgan officiating. Burial followed in Start Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Crew Lake United Methodist Church, Start, LA. She was a retired School Teacher with the Richland Parish School System. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angie Sanson and parents, Lee and Dottie Taylor
Survivors include her husband, Verne "Red" Smith of Start; daughter, Linda Wilson and husband, Ernest of Start; sons, Jerry L. Smith and wife, Beanie of Vicksburg, MS and Terry Joel Smith and wife, Beverly of Jonesville, LA; 8-grandchildren; 17-great grandchildren and 6-great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Billy Whitten, David Ray Davis, Andrew Cole, Walter Garner, Bentley Curry, and Aubrey Watts.
