James "Jimmy" Audrey Cummins 62, of Bartlett passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. He was a member of Ellendale Baptist Church, former auxiliary police officer for the City of Clarksdale, MS and was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Mr. Cummins was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Eva Bailey Cummins; daughters, Dawn Cummins Ellis and her husband, Mike of Memphis, Brandi Cummins Mellen of Janesville, WI; mother, Sarah Dean Cummins of Cleveland, MS; brothers, Larry Cummins of Batesville, MS and Bill Cummins of Cleveland, MS; 3 grandchildren, Julee Ellis, Baylee Ellis and Stormi Cummins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 20, 2009 and 9:00 am until funeral service time 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 21, 2009 both at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with the interment to follow at Memory Hill Gardens of Bartlett. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Lung Association or the charity of donor's choice.
