Information from Obituary: Mrs. C. J. Barnhouse, nee Emma Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Wood, was born October 20, 1840 and died September 17, 1925 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 29 days. On October 30, 1856 she was united in marriage to C. J. Barnhouse who preceded her in death exactly five years. To this union were born seven children, five of whom are now living. They are Mrs. Sarah Warsing of Arkansas; Mrs. Amanda Williams of Flat River; Mrs. Mary Johnson of Doe Run; John N. of Fredericktown; and Charles of Doe Run. The two deceased are Ira E. and Daniel T. Mrs. Barnhouse united with the Free Will Baptist Church at Doe Run where she remained a faithful member until her death. Funeral services were conducted at Old Pendleton Church on Friday Sept. 18th by Rev. Virgil Wilson. Interment was the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
