WOOSTER -- JoAnn Marken, 67, 4400 Melrose Drive, Wooster, formerly of Sterling, died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at Smithville-Western Care Center. Sevices wil be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with Pastor Moeller officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster, 44691. She was born April 10, 1931, in Sterling to Harry And Olive (Mills) Halliwell and had lived most of her life in in Sterling, before moving to Wooster in 1979. She was a homemaker and member of the Sterling Grace Brethern Church, where she was the former organist. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. Surviving are children, Jodi McCollough and her husband, Cliff of Applecreek; Michael Marken and his wife Vivian of Akron; Dennis and Karen Marken, both of Wooster. Grandchildren, Ashley Marken-Duncan, Jami and Geri Marken. A sister-in-law, Evelyn Halliwell of Doylestown; and nieces and nephews. A sister, Ruth Brodbeck and brothers, Merle ans Robert Halliwell died previously.
Her death certificate was filed with the Ohio Department of Health Bureau of Vital Statistics as JoAnn Marken, age 67, white, divorced female of Wayne County, Ohio.
