Mrs. N.K. Bailey Dies Monday
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at the First Methodist Church for Mrs. N.K. Bailey who died Monday, July 23, in Memorial Hospital, Cleburne, after a long illness.
Mrs. Bailey, who resided on Route 3, was born near Hillsboro, July 23, 1885. She passed away on her 77th birthday. She had been a resident of Grandview since 1938, and was member of the Methodist Church.
Rev. Harvey Raines of Bedford was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Bob Briles of Grandview. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery directed by Kay-Holloway Funeral Home.
She is survived by four sons, Lloyd and Sam Bailey of Grandview, Houston Bailey of Perris, California and Rufus Bailey of Lakewood, California; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Claypool of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Ophelia Collins of Texas City; one sister, Mrs. Joe Forkner of Lindsay, Oklahoma; one brother, C.J. Daniel of Corona, California; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Bailey preceded his wife in death on March 30, 1961 and a daughter, Miss Fannie Ann Bailey passed away June 29, 1962.
Pallbearers were Gervais Dobbs, Clyde Swain, Byron Senter, Lewis Barnes, A.D. McElroy and Odell Pinkerton.
