Mrs. Sophia S. Warren, suddenly died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julia H. Abrigg, on Sunday afternoon last, aged 73 years, 11 months and one day. Mrs. Warren was in town on an errand, Saturday last, and on Sunday was taken with cramps which in a very short time resulted in death. The deceased was born in Canandaigua, New York, April 30th, 1820, married Mr. J. B. Rossman, in 1839 and was married the second time to Mr. W. H. Warren in 1847. A daughter by her first husband, Mrs. E. S. Long, survives her, also one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Abrigg, and a son, Mr. W. C. Warren, children of her second husband. Two sisters and one brother of the deceased reside in Ohio. The late Mrs. Warren was a member of the Methodist church for a number of years. The funeral services took place at the residence of her daughter, Elder J. P. Furnish, officiating. Many friends paid their last tribute of respect by attending the obseques, and placing several beautiful floral offerings upon the casket. At the conclusion of the services the pallbearers, Messrs. J. M. Peery, John Knappenberger, G. D. Kennedy, E. Bowman, G. W. Cunningham and T. E. Gilliam deposited the casket in the hearse, and the cortege proceeded to Elliott Grove cemetery where interment was made.
