She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Leroy D. Aaronson, M.D.; daughter Debra Lawless and son-in-law John Lawless of Providence, RI and Chatham, MA; daughter Pamela Ann Hamilton and son-in-law John A. Hamilton of Weymouth, Mass.; beloved grandsons Jack Arthur and Peter Aaron Hamilton; sisters Natalie L. Fisette of Warwick and Meredith L. Nelson of North Kingstown; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Marian F. Connors, William A Norden and Elsa L. Carey..
Born in Warwick, Mrs. Aaronson was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (Miller) Norden. She grew up with three generations on The Norden Farm, a sprawling family farm run by her grandfather in Warwick in the area that is now T. F. Green International Airport. A graduate of Lockwood High School, she earned her R.N. at the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Following that she moved to Manhattan to pursue a nursing career; she subsequently worked also in hospitals in Philadelphia and Boston, returning to Rhode Island to raise her family.
Mrs. Aaronson had a love of piano and classical music. She enjoyed travel abroad, in particular time spent touring Italy. She was a student of American history and was very well read in the area. In recent years her primary passion was enjoying time spent with her two grandsons.
