Isaac Roberts was the son of Zaccheus Roberts, a Revolutionary War soldier and Nancy Brashears Roberts of Roane County, TN. He married (1) Elizabeth Liles in Roane County, TN in 1832. He married (2) Elizabeth Dunaway, daughter of Joseph Dunaway and Frances Frost Dunaway, in Madison County, AL in 1842. He was a veteran of the Indian Wars.
His burial place is in a "lost" cemetery east of Blankenship Road and north of Ironman Road between the Neel and Punkin Center Communities of Morgan County, AL. A marker has been placed in the Roberts-Brown Cemetery beside his wife as his descendants continue to search for his resting place.
