An article by John Knox in The Decatur Daily Newspaper December 22, 1963 about the Liberty Community of Morgan County reads: "Isaac Roberts was a cabinet maker and built furniture for most of the settlers. His wife {Elizabeth] made hats and beautiful artificial flowers".
