Funeral services for Jess L. Hawkins, 75, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Central Baptist Church by Rev. Carl Scott, church pastor.
Named as pallbearers are Floyd Talley, Val Baumgart, Dennis Brooks, Warren Cottle, Marvin Blackburn and Paul Barnes. Honorary pallbearers are James Rozzell, Howard Martin, Ralph Nortcutt, Dr. V. Scott Johnson, Dr. James B. Moss, Dr. Robert R. Boese, C.J. Broyles, Jerry Schaeffer, Judge E.T. Hensley, John Turlington, P.D. Hartley, Dr. W. M. Lancaster and John Donahey.
Burial in Mission Garden of Memories under the direction of Steed Funeral Home.
Mr. Hawkins, who died Friday morning at his home, 1211 Pile, was a custodian at the Curry County Courthouse before his retirement. He is survived by his wife, six children, 2 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jess L. Hawkins, 75, who had lived in Clovis for 33 years, died at 3:30 a.m. at his home, 1211 Pile. He was custodian at the Curry County Courthouse before his retirement.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Central Baptist Church with the pastor , Rev. Carl Scott, officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories with Steed Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Hawkins; three sons, Raymond C. and J.L. Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ben A. , Temple, Tex. and three daughters, Mrs. E.A. Thompson of Caracas, Venezuela, Mrs. Thomas Bonner of Clovis and Mrs. A.D. Jolly, Lubbock, Tex.
Two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. R.C. Hooker of Decatur, Tex., also survive.
