Mr. Hawkins, who died Friday morning at his home, 1211 Pile, was a custodian at the Curry County Courthouse before his retirement. He is survived by his wife, six children, 2 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jess L. Hawkins, 75, who had lived in Clovis for 33 years, died at 3:30 a.m. at his home, 1211 Pile. He was custodian at the Curry County Courthouse before his retirement.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Central Baptist Church with the pastor , Rev. Carl Scott, officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories with Steed Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Hawkins; three sons, Raymond C. and J.L. Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ben A. , Temple, Tex. and three daughters, Mrs. E.A. Thompson of Caracas, Venezuela, Mrs. Thomas Bonner of Clovis and Mrs. A.D. Jolly, Lubbock, Tex.
Two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. R.C. Hooker of Decatur, Tex., also survive.
