She was the loving wife of Edwin D. "Jack" Albin, Sr. for 63 years. Wilhelmenia was a faithful member of the Goodman Methodist Church and a Christian Southern Lady by all earthly standards. With a benevolent and sweet spirit, she embraced people of all walks of life, always eager to help others with a servant's heart. Her life was her witness for her love of Christ. She was born in Morton, MS to M.P. and Eunice Moorehead.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Edwin D. Albin,Jr. and his wife, Mickey, of Kosciusko; a granddaughter, Angel MacDonald and her husband, Ian; grandson, Win Albin: four great-grandchildren, Robbie, Spence, Tyler and Miriam; a sister, Gus Hurd of Kingsport, TN; and host of nephews and nieces.
Our loss is Heaven's gain and Glory to God for her earthly life. May her memory live and bless her family and friends.
Visitation will be at Southern Funeral Home in Durant, MS today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The celebration of her life will be at Goodman Methodist Church Monday at 2 p.m. with interment following at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Methodist Childrens Home or Goodman United Methodist Church.
