Andrew Clarence Boriack
February 2, 1988 - December 28, 2008
After an 18-month-long valiant and hard-fought battle against cancer, Andrew Boriack, 20 of Giddings, obtained the long awaited rest and relief that he so desired and entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Mayo Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona with his parents and family at his side.
Andrew Clarence Boriack was born on February 2, 1988 in Austin, Texas to Douglas & Theresa (Pille) Boriack. He attended school in Giddings and was a member of the Giddings High School Class of 2006. Andrew had been employed by Gold Equipment in Ledbetter and most recently with Energy Transfer in Giddings. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, mudding, fishing, camping, country music and driving and working on his truck. His greatest joy was spending time and being with his family and friends.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice Pille, Clarence Boriack and Milburn Jenke.
He is survived by his parents, Theresa & Gordon Jenke of Giddings and Douglas Boriack & Tammy King of Paige; sister, Meghan Jenke of Giddings; brother, Kyle Jenke of Giddings; grandparents, Andrew "Andy" & Antonia "Toni" Pille of Espanola, Washington, Edna Boriack of Fedor and Annie Jenke of Giddings as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and all of those who supported him and his family through his battle.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Tiner officating. Burial will follow in the Giddings Memorial Park in Giddings. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family was present Saturday evening.
Pallbearers were Bryan Zak, Wesley Boriack, Jeremy Gold, Michael Diamond, Eric Perkins, Randall Garner, Dustin Faske and Dustin Diamond.
Honorary Pallbearers were Kyle Jenke, Matthew Grimm, Paul Kipp, Mark Staedtler, Patrick Pille, Aaron Maass, Steven Cutlip, Eric Tallas and Tracy Sharp.
