She was born in New Hartford on December 25, 1907 to the late Albanie and Mary (Pelletier) Morin. She moved to Bristol as a child and attended school there before moving to Hartford with her husband. She worked as an administrator for Vulcan Radiator in Hartford for many years prior to her retirement.
Edna and Antoine were married for 50 years prior to his death in 1982. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and they were always able to make her smile. She loved baking, especially Christmas cookies, which she made for everyone. She had moved to South Windsor 20 years ago, the last ten living with her daughter and son-in-law, and was a Parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor.
She is survived by a son, Norman R. Belliveau and his wife Susan of Bonney Lake, WA; a daughter, Louise B. Lovett and her husband James H., Sr. of South Windsor; nine grandchildren, Cynthia Galka and her husband Gary of North Granby; Karen Grant and her husband Joel of Corona, CA; William A. Lovett and his fiancée Jennifer M. Nieves of South Windsor; James H. Lovett, Jr. of South Windsor; Lynn Staryk of Florida; Kim Belliveau of California; Sandra McNally and her husband Frank of Woodstock; Scott Belliveau and his wife Sharon of Putnam; and Nancy Belliveau of Putnam. Edna had 11 great grandchildren, Jennifer and Heather Galka, Taylor, Gavin, and Cameron Lovett, Steven Staryk, Jason and Lisa McNally, Stacey, Farrah, and Hayden Belliveau; two sisters-in-law, Arcelia Morin and Yvette Morin, both of Bristol; a daughter-in-law, Carol Belliveau of Putnam, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She leaves many dear friends, including William and Madeline Lovett, and neighbors, especially the Trinks and Fitzgerald families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Raymond A. Belliveau; brothers, Aurele Morin and Omer Morin; sisters, Lillian Sutherland and Rita Morin, and a beloved great granddaughter Melissa Galka.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, South Windsor.
Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
