The home of Robert Bridgforth was located not far from the New Garden Cemetery. The property on which this house was built was purchased by Obadiah Jones on Feb. 9, 1818. After changing hands a couple of times, the property was purchased on Feb. 8, 1869 by Robert L. Bridgforth and the house was built at that time. After Robert's death, wife Sarah deeded the house to John W. Bridgforth. (Lure and Lore of Limestone County by Axford and Edwards).
