The following information was sent to me courtesy of a dear Find A Grave friend, Mr. David Oxford (Contributor #46875582) .....
"Sergeant Lloyd A. Flint died October 1 in Holland of wounds received September 30, it has been learned by his wife, Mrs. Madaline Nicholson Flint, of Graham and Greensboro.
He received his basic training in Louisiana in a Glider Unit; then he was sent to Fort Bragg with the Infantry.
Shipped overseas April 1943, he served in Africa, Sicily, Italy and France. He held the Purple Heart.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Flint, Parris Island, SC. He is survived, besides his wife, by one sister, Mrs. George H. Barry, Chicago, IL; and three brothers, all of whom are in the Pacific.
*** And this was graciously provided by his granddaughter (sourced from the December 24, 1944 edition of the Greensboro Daily News): "He was also survived by two children, Mary Christine and Harold." ***
