Samuel Calvin Alley, formerly
of Spruce Creek, R. D., died
Sunday, May 28, 1961, at 2:45
a.m at the Huntingdon County
Home at Shirleysburg.
He was born June 4, 1869, at
Bellwood, a son of William and
Emily (Edmundson) Alley. He was
married to Margaret Gaughey
at Bellwood. His wife preceded him
in death in 1941.
Surviving is one son, Charles
Alley of Alexandria, R.D.1. There
is one grandson and three
great-grandchildren.
Mr. Alley was of the Methodist
faith. For a period of 60 years

Mr. Alley had resided in Spruce
Creek Valley. For a period of 18
years he had been employed by the
State Highway Department.
Private funeral services will
be held on Wednesday afternoon
at the Cox funeral home in Warriors
Mark. The Rev. Leland Keemer will
officiate. Interment will be made
in the Franklinville Cemetery.
There will be no viewing and it
is requested that flowers be omitted.
