Obituary from the Charles City Intelligencer, 10 April 1894

ALDERSON:--Friday morning, April 6, 1894, at 2 o'clock, at her home in this city, Clara P. Alderson. Age 35 years, 9 mo. and 10 days.

Deceased had been very ill for the past three weeks with typhoid fever and on Friday the sad ending of her earthly career took place. Surrounded by the comforts of a happy home and with a husband and four children to bless her for having lived, the death of Mrs Alderson was a hard blow to all.

Mr and Mrs Alderson came to our city over a year and a half ago and previous to that time their home had been in Strawberry Point. Deceased joined the Methodist church of Strawberry Point 17 years ago and both herself and husband were active workers in the church at this place. Her father and mother reside in Edgewood and she also has four sisters and one brother living in Strawberry Point.

The funeral services were held at the church Saturday, and a large number of mourning relatives and friends accompanied the remains to its last resting place in Riverside.
