MRS. EUGENE R. BURNS

Mrs. Myra E. Coleman Burns, 17 formerly of Scant City and Guntersville, died June 15 at Brookley Field Hospital on the army base at Mobile.
She died 11 hours after the birth of a daughter but the doctors said her
death apparently was not caused by the bith. The baby, who weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces, got along all right. She was named Carol Elaine.
Mrs. Burns had lived in Mobile the last 8 years. She is survived by her husband, Sgt. Eugene R. Burns; their daughter, Carol Elaine; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvis Coleman, 2 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Isaacson
and Doris Jean Coleman all of Mobile.
Relatives from Guntersville and Arab who attended the funeral were:
Her grandmother, Mrs. Callie Cook, aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Ermon
Cook, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Perry and Mr. and Mrs. Olva Nunn, Mrs. Burren
Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Reeves, and 2 cousins
Neal and Lynn Perry, all of Guntersville; her grandmother Mrs. W.R. Coleman
of Arab, Miss Lula Coleman, Aunt Frances from West Indies and Henry Coleman
of Arab.
Funeral services were held at the Higgins Mortuiary Chapel, June 17, with
burial in Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile. The lieutenant colonel at the base
conducted the services. Pallbearers were 8 of Sgt. Coleman's air force buddies.
