Jacksons G.G.Grand Parents were Lewis and Christian Barge from Fayetiville N. Carolina Lewis was a Patriot he was the second signer of The Liberty Point Resolve in 1775 which was N. Carolina Declaration of Independance.
Andrew Jackson 1st. Wife was Nola Mae Thompson they Married on August-6-1911 in Zavalla, Texas.
Jackson and Nola had 4 Wonderful Children born to there Marriage they were Myrtel Barge,James Byron Barge, Lille May Barge and Claudie Jackson Barge.
When Nola was only 22 years of age she died after a short illness, her children were very young the oldest was 7 the youngest was Claudie he was only 11 months old it was a very hard time for my Papa and his children they were all heart broken at the loss of there Mother and Wife but they made it through this with the help of The Lord & Close Family Members who reached out and helped them.
Some time later Jackson as he was called meet a wonderful
Lady by the name of Lollie Alvis Crawford they married April-25-1920 in Zavalla, Texas and had 2 Sons born to there marriage they were Jessie Alvis Barge and Andrew Jackson Barge JR.
Jackson & Lollie raised there 6 Children to love The Lord, and to Love one another,they had many good years together there were hard times yes but the good times out numbered the bad, they buried James Byron in 1952 he was but 38 years old when The Lord called Him Home he left a wife and 7 Children the youngest not quite 2 years of age.
Then again tragedy struck in 1960 when Claude died from a heart Attack at age 42.
Life went on there were many great years ahead for this Wonderful family there was much Love in this Family Mama and Papa were always Faithful to attend Church and They Loved The Lord.
When Jackson died on Dec-9-1985 he and his Second Wife Lollie had been Married 66 Years he left us with so many Wonderful Memories Papa Barge as us Grand Kids called Him he was the Best and the kindest Grandad anyone could have hoped for I will always treasure my time with Him and Mama Barge.
