Graveside rites held for Mrs. Owens, 71. Graveside services for Mary Baker Owens, age 71, of Alabaster, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991. Interment was in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles B. Roberts officiating. Cook and Spigener Mortuary directed the arrangements. Mrs. Owens died Sunday, Nov. 24, in Briarcliff Nursing Home in Alabaster. She was a retired supervisor with the State of Alabama. She is survived by two sons, Stephen L. Owens of Layton, Utah and Richard T. Owens of Jackson, Miss.; two daughters, Sandra O. Pappas of Annapolis, MD., and Donna O. Williams of Calera; one brother, Murphy G. Baker, Jr., of Mobile; and eight grandchildren.
