Mae Buse, 83, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Tuesday, January 02, 2001 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 5, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 2:00 PM with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Mae Kathryn Hansel was born July 14, 1917 at Wylie, MN daughter of the late Peter and Haddie (Dargon) Hansel. She moved into Red Lake Falls with her family at the age of 2 years old. Mae attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1936. She worked at the Red Lake County Court House in several positions. On April 30, 1943 she was united in marriage to Al Buse in San Diego, CA. She lived in San Diego until the fall of 1945 when they returned to Red Lake Falls where she has since resided. Mae worked at several places in red Lake Falls including the Gazette and Norrie Thune Insurance. Mae has resided at Hillcrest Nursing Home since January 12, 1999.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Guild, the Legion Auxiliary and Hillcrest Auxiliary. Mae enjoyed knitting and reading, most of all Mae enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren.
Mae is survived by her husband Al Buse of Red Lake Falls, MN; sons Vance (Debbie) Buse of Sammamish, WA and Todd (Julie) Buse of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Nicole (Justin), Paulette, Carl, Kelsey, Dustin, Carly and Abby. Several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Hazel Pahlen, Molly Hansel, Marie Champeau, Jacob Hansel, Louis Hansel, Maurice Hansel.
