President of the Adreon Manufacturing Company. Mr. Adreon attended St. Louis public schools and the Manual Training School, passing two years studying and received practical experience in electricity. He entered the shops of the American Brake Company in 1888 to learn the trade and was then made superintendent of the Missouri Electric Light Company in 1890 and in 1893 entered the employ of the Sargent Company of Chicago as Southwestern agent and continued in that capacity until his death. In 1904, he formed the Adreon Manufacturing Company which produced railroad supplies. He was also vice president of the Acme Pipe Clamp Company. His father, Edward L. Adreon Sr. was vice president of the American Brake Company and for many years was the comptroller of the city of St. Louis.
