HUNTSVILLE – Loris Cecelia Felt Allen, 86, passed away December 22, 2008. She was born September 21, 1922 in Huntsville, Utah, a daughter of Myrtle Unsworth and John Earl Felt.
Loris was raised in Huntsville and graduated from Weber High School.
She married Daniel Mark Allen on October 16, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was "The Love of her life."
She worked for 18 years with Bell Telephone in Huntsville, Chief PBX Operator for McKay Dee Hospital, Personal assistant to Robert H. Hinckley.
Loris was a very active member of the Huntsville 1st Ward. She served diligently in various callings through out her life.
She enjoyed being the Historian of Huntsville, genealogy and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Doug (Susan) Allen, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Beth Lowe, Salt Lake City; Janice (Eldon) Drake, Logan; Gay McKay, Twin Falls; Alice Kearl, Ogden and Jacqueline (Clair) Shaw, Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark, her daughter, Jolene Allen Probasco Ford, sisters, Diane Belote and Athleen Hardy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Huntsville 1st Ward, 277 S 7400 E. at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden on Friday, Dec. 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:45 -12:45 at the church.
Interment, Huntsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Huntsville branch of the Weber County Library.
