The Lamar County Echo, August 1979. 'Bruce B. Kerr, 75 , of Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Eastland died Saturday, August 4, 1979. Graveside services were held Tuesday, August 7 at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Mr. Kerr was born July 16, 1904, in Lufkin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma, and two daughters. Survivors include one daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Connie Fields of Paris and Mrs. Alice Hall of Norman, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews'.
