DIED LAST EVENING
Peter Allewelt died last night about 11:45 o'clock at his home in Berwick township, Adams county, about four miles from this place on the Carlisle pike. He was 78 years, 2 months and 29 days of age.
The deceased is a brother of Mr. George Allewelt, of Berwick township, Mrs. Henry Bittinger, and J. Q. Allewelt of this place. He is also a brother of the late Mrs. George Klinefelter.
The funeral will take place on Monday morning next at 9:30 o'clock. Services at the house. Rev. Dr. J. C. Koller, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran church, of which the deceased has been a member for a number of years, will officiate. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
FUNERAL OF PETER ALLEWALT
The funeral of the late Peter Allewalt was held this morning from the late residence of the deceased. The services were at the house and were conducted by Rev. J. C. Koller, D.D. and Rev. Clare, of Abbottstown, the former preaching in English from Thessalonians 4-14, and the latter in German from the 13th verse of the same chapter. Interment was made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
