Lona M. Wright Nelms, 85, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Lona was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Graham to Martha Augustus and Isaac Marvin Wright. She was a longtime member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church. Lona loved and cherished four generations of grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lona Nan Thompson, in 1985.
Survivors: Husband of 57 years, Rex O. Nelms of Hurst; sons, Nelson Johnson and wife, Sharon, of Fort Worth, Marvin Emmitt Nelms of Hurst; brother, Tommy Wright of Providence, Ky.; grandchildren, Robbie Thompson, Theresa Camfield, Chris Johnson, Jamie Nelms, Mason Nelms, Melissa Nelms, Jared Harrison; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granchildren.
