Funeral Services Held Friday for Martha Bingham

MAESER FIRST -- Funeral services for Martha Mae Roberson Bingham were held last Friday at Maeser Ward Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Warren Merkley conducting.

Prayer at home was offered by Carl R. Richens and prelude music, a duet, "Oh My Father." was played by Margaret Caldwell on the violin and Margaret Roberts on the organ "In the Garden of Tommorrow" was sung by Tauline Anderson, Barsalena Hatch, accompanied by Margaret Roberts and invocation was offered by President William B. Wallis.

William Harvey McKee, Walton E. Bodily and Ernest Caldwell told of Mrs. Bingham's long life of service. Musical numbers included "That Wonderful Mother of Mine" by Doral Thacker; a musical reading, "My Grandmother, tribute from grandchildren, composed by Victor L. Bingham and read by Colleen Bingham, accompanied by Edna Jones and "My Father Knows" by Edna Jones.

Remarks were made by Warren Merkley and Bishop Ward Evans offered the benediction, The postlude "The End of a Perfect Day." was played by Mrs. Caldwell and Mrs. Roberts.

Burial was at the Maeser Cemetery and Patriarch Fred G. Bingham dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Mark Hall, Thomas E. Hall, LeRoy Carroll, Fred Anderson, Verdin Johnson and Ferron Hacking. Honorary pallbearers were Maeser 1st and 2nd Ward Relief Society ladies.

Attending from out of town were Afton B. Stewar, New York, New York; Mr. and Mrs. Don C. (Veda) Carter, Logan; Francis M. Bingham, McGrath, Albert, Canada; Mr. and Mrs. Laird G. Billings and daughter, Patricia and Roseltha Vernon, daughter, Lucille Richardson, Orem; Keren B. Hacking, Cedar Fork, the Mark Halls, and Thomas E. Halls and Robert II Sainsbury, Salt Lake City.

Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Richards, Rupert, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Arid Merkley, Parowan; the Forrest and Darrell Goodriches, Owen Bartletts and LeRoy Morrills, Tridell; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Perry, Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Burgess, Lapoint.
