Onea- Joseph H. Denson, 78, a businessman and farmer, died Wednesday of heart failure at Leake Memorial Hospital.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with burial in Ludlow Cemetery.
Mr. Denson was a native of Rankin county. He was a lifelong resident of Luflow. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of Ludlow Baptist Church, wher he was a deacon for 40 years. His son, Joe Denson said, "He was totally devoted to his family, his wife, children , and community."
He was a 32nd-degree Mason and served as president of the L&F Water Association for 16 years. He also worked at Vickers Inc. as an inspector.
Survivors include:wife, Fontayne; son, Joe N. Denson of Ridgeland; daughter, Pam D. David of Ludlow; sister, Betty Powell of Ludlow; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
