She was salutatorian of the 1938 Marceline High School class. She spent 2 yrs at Willliam Jewel in Liberty MO. Then transferred to the University of MO, Columbia. Graduated in 1942 with BS in English and Speech. She taught school and after John graduated from dental school they moved to Hays KS and she was active in the First Baptist Church. They retired to their farm in Topeka that has been in her family since October 1, 1858.
Suriviors include 3 daughters; Sheri Lynn Edmund Harvey (Fred) of Sparks, NV; Kimberly Ann Edmund O'Brien of Cheney, KS; and Lisa Gall Edmund Jackson (John) of Austin, TX, and seven grandchildren; Sarah and DeAdre Harvey, Erica, Kathryn and Will Jackson, and Patrick and Shane O'Brien.
