Ellwood City-Mrs. Fanny M. Berg, 84, of Portersville R.D. ,died at 4:10 pm on Thursday at the St. Francis Hospital in New Castle after several months of illness.
She was born in Curllsville, Clarion County ,Pennsylvania on 20 October 1890 to the late Israel S. Courson and Sarah Jane nee Myers Courson.
Mrs. Berg was a member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church ; the American Legion Auxillary and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and in her youth attended Clarion State Normal School.
Her husband Charles A. Berg died in 1963.She is survived by a sister Mrs. Amanda Whitmore of Oil City. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin Courson in 1962,Curtis Courson in 1953 and David Courson in 1971.
Friends will be received at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home ,from 7-9pm on Saturday and from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Sunday. The services will be at 1:30pm.on Monday at the funeral home conducted by Dr. C. Kenneth Weber of the church. Burial will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
