His tombstone has been lost or destroyed. It is believed he is buried next to his wife Elizabeth. Weakley County Deed Book V, page 294, dated 4 Aug 1871, supports this belief. It states "Wm H & John B Farmer further agrees and binds themselves that at the death of said John F (they will) properly and decently bury him by the side of his deceased wife our mother".
