Mrs. Hutson was born October 17, 1925 in Walterboro, SC, the daughter of Melvin Colson and Ethel Hiott Colson. She attended Walterboro schools and was a member of Johns Island Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters: Maxine H Curry and Judy H Garcia both of Johns Island, SC; two sons: Ronald V. Hutson and H. Charles Hutson both of Johns Island, SC; four grandchildren: Sonya, Cassie Gail, Angela and Amos and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her one son, Rodney G. Hutson and one granddaughter Dana Denise Davis.
