Daughter of Christian H Butner and Mary Eliza (Maria Louisa) Leinbach.

First husband, Franklin W Williams. Three children, 1st marriage, William A, Thomas Henry and Mary Ellen Babcock.

Children of second marriage: Jay E, Jessie (Elliott) Hart, James Burr, Effie J (Elliott) Donnelly, Ola Ellis, and Donald M.

Franklin W Williams was born about 1837 in North Carolina and married Harriet Eliza Butner on or about 6 Mar 1857 in Grainger County, Tennessee, date of marriage bond. The 1860 Pettis Township, Platte County, Missouri gives his first name as Frank. However, my great grandfather's death certificate states his name was Charles. Others claim his name was Thomas. Several of Harriet's brothers who enlisted for service in the Civil War served in the 5th Regiment of the Kansas Volunteer Cavalry, as did a Franklin Williams. Franklin's Muster Date was 27 Jan 1862 into Co G, 5th Regiment Kansas Volunteer Cavalry and Mustered out of Co K, 5th Regiment Kansas Volunteer Cavalry on 27 Jan 1865.
