Born in Newton, he was the son of the late Leon D. and Ruth (Zakarian) Ahronian. A graduate of Hopkinton High School and Worcester Boys Trade, he served many years as a service manager for various trucking companies, retiring in 1989 from Redi Mix Co. of Orleans.
Henry thoroughly enjoyed gardening and shellfishing, and was a member of the Elks Lodge of Hyannis. He was a proud husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Leon and his wife Anne of Holden; a daughter, Gail and her husband Ron Racicot of Shrewsbury. He was the grandfather of Thomas Ahronian of Boston, Leanne Ahronian of Worcester, and Nathan Racicot of Shrewsbury; brother of Anne Schickel of San Diego, Calif., and the late Albert and Charles Ahronian. He is also survived by six nieces and three nephews.
