Barbara Annette Gill Battle, 61 of Raleigh, died peacefully on December 13, 2008, after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrigs disease.
Barbara was born October 27, 1947 to Melvin and the late Lizzie Gill in Raleigh.
She is survived by her husband, Macon P. Battle of the home; son, Brian Battle (Christine); daughter, Latisha Battle; two grandsons, Bryson and Chandler Battle, all of Charlotte; father, Melvin Gill of Raleigh; one sister; two brothers; a host of other relatives and friends.
Family received friends from 11am to 12pm on Thursday, December 18, 2008, prior to funeral service at 12 noon at Macedonia New Life Church. Interment Carolina Biblical Gardens.
