Emma Scribner, 79, of 4335 Everett Ave., died Wednesday. Born in Clarks, La., she had lived in Tacoma for seven years.

Mrs. Scribner was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Tatman of Tacoma; four sisters, Eva Cobb in Mississippi, Isabelle Manley and Mrs. Myrtle Duke, both in Louisiana, and Gertrude Tarver of Eugene, Ore.; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be in Crossett, Ark., with local arrangements by Buckley-King Mortuary.
