Son of John U. Beer (also bur. at Lantz). Obituary in the Mansfield News-Journal of March 28, 1960 states he was age 76 and died in the same house in which he was born, on Hickory Lane. Worked as a brick mason for R.G. Beer Corporation. Survivors were a son, Marion Beer; daughter Mrs. Donald Darling of Hickory Lane; brothers Levi W. Beer of Sunset Drive and Jesse Beer of Ford Road. Burial in Lantz Cemetery.
