HANOVER, Aug. 28—Mrs. Gertrude Cluuk Ackerman, widow of Francis P. Ackerman, died at 2:05 p. m. yesterday at her home, 515 Third Street; death followed a! Lingering illness. She was 87. Mrs. Ackerman, daughter of-the late Francis X. and Elizabeth Martin Clunk, was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also; belonged to the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association and the, 'National Council of Catholic women. Her husband died in 19l7. Surviving- are three children, Robert J. Ackerman, 725 June Street, York; Elizabeth M. Ackerman, at home, and Raymond F. Ackerman, Perry. Hall, Md. three. Grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be '. Friday with, prayers at 10:30 am at the Walter Funeral Home, McSherrystown, followed by, a requiem mass at 11 a. m. at St. Vincent's -church. Her pastor, the Right Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Maher will be celebrant. Burial will, be in Conewago Chapel Cemetery, Edge Grove plot A/28/G1.
