Edmond Wilson was born August 13, 1944 in East Chicago, Indiana to Elihu & Anah Lee (Hamilton) Wilson . He graduated from Griffith High School in 1962, obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University, and did graduate work at Western Michigan University.

Ed served his country in the US Army as a Specialist 5th Class during the Vietnam War.

On July 7th, 1979 he married the former Andrea Belski in St Joseph, MI.

He was employed as a V-P in Industrial Relations and Personnel, working for Saluto Foods, Benton Harbor, Watervliet Community Hospital , and Bixby Medical Center, in Adrian, MI . Ed spent 15 years in real estate and appraising in the Adrian area before returning to St. Joseph . For the last 6 years, he served as President of Appraisal Express Services, (residential appraising) which he founded and co-owns with his son, Andrew.

Ed Wilson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph River Yacht Club, and Rotary International. He served as Assistant District Governor for District 6400, & was Chairperson of Rotaract-Youth Rotary Program. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and was Rotarian of the Year. Ed served as President of the Near North Chicago Personnel Association. He was a Civil War Buff, enjoyed collecting Civil War Memorabilia, and served as a Civil War re-enactor in the Artillery Division.

In his spare time, Ed enjoyed bicycling, gardening, traveling, reading, and building model cannons. He had a great sense of humor, and always cared about those around him. Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Edmond Carl Wilson, 64, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away, November 30, 2008 at his home with his wife and son by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, MI, with Msgr. Michael Osborn & Msgr. Eugene Sears officiating.

Ed was survived by his wife Andrea; his son Andrew Edmond Wilson of St. Joseph; two sisters-Sandra (Donald) Zylo & Patricia Jean (Larry) McDonald, both of Griffith, IN; his brother Thomas (Christine) Schatzman of Crown Point, IN; his brother-in-law Tony (Judy) Belski of St. Joseph; his sister-in-law Nancy (Paul) Sands of Syracuse, IN; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Elihu Wilson, his mother and step-father Anah & Paul Schatzman, his brother Ronald Wilson, his father-in-law & mother-in-law Pete & Mary Belski, and his son Jordan Carl Wilson on October 17, 1984.
